Deployable persons

Persons can be sent in if they own (or owned) a deployable dog (see requirements listed above), and if they master the supportive theory for a deployment.   


Certification

The following diplomas were obtained by a number of deployable persons:

 

-         Navigation licence I

-         Navigation licence II

 

-         Maritime telecommunication

-         EHBO (first aid)

In addition these persons have a background in veterinary science, construction, medicine, language or as BOA (special detection officer).

 


Saad and Samir in Sri Lanka. Saad has an EHBO diploma and speaks a number of languages. Arabic is his native language.


Esther and  Rifka during a search on the Veluwe Lake. Esther give the training course en leads the searches. Esther has Navigation Licences I and II, Maritime telecommunication; she has completed the course of training for voluntary police. Her daily occupation is that of a veterinary.


Janette and Bahco in China. Janette is a veterinary assistant and do the logistics of Signi.

Deployable persons at Signi: in wooden areas

Signi searchdogs have a number of dogs selected for search operations to order live persons in wooden areas in the Netherlands. These combinations have been certified for Area search B according to I.R.O. regulation (and has been preferably also certified for rubble search B). Additional taking them to commitment exercises Signi organised.
The different combinations come from the associations the Polderspeurders and Emergamus.
